Intentional, Documentary Wedding Moments

Romantic & Cinematic Photography

I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in Nashville, Tennessee, who travels domestically and internationally.

I let the day unfold naturally while I document it as it’s lived. I’ll guide you when needed, but mostly I give space for real moments to happen: the movement, the emotion, the in-between seconds you didn’t even realize were there. It’s about making the experience feel like yours, so your photos reflect the way the day truly felt.

I photograph with the intention of preserving the moments where love feels soft and familiar.

As a travel documentary wedding photographer based in Nashville, Tennessee, I believe your wedding day should be experienced, not staged. My approach is rooted in observation and intuition, capturing moments as they unfold. The quiet prayer for the ceremony. The laughter from speeches (that are far too revealing). These are the moments that tell your story candidly.

While I’m based in Nashville, Tennessee, I regularly photograph weddings throughout the U.S & internationally. Whether you're planning an intimate garden celebration in Franklin, a historic estate wedding in Nashville, or a destination wedding anywhere in the world, I travel wherever your story takes you. THE STORY BEHIND THE CREATOR

1 / 1

My couples value authenticity over perfection. They care more about feeling present than posing perfectly. They want imagery that reflects how their wedding felt - warm, emotional, and deeply personal.

Bride and groom share romantic kiss among rocky landscape with scenic valley views on their wedding day.

"Emily is the most qualified, talented, kind and genuine person/photographers I know! I seriously can’t recommend her enough. My husband and I have had the privilege to use her a couple times and she never fails to make us feel comfortable and capture absolutely the best photos! I have never loved photos so much! I wish her nothing but success and the busiest of books because she deserves it and her work is outstanding. She is a natural, and you will fall in love with her just as much as your photos."

"We recently had an engagement shoot with Emily at Mirror Lake on Mount Hood at sunrise, and it was an incredible experience. Emily was fantastic at guiding us into natural, comfortable poses and made the entire process fun and relaxed. She was warm, professional, and got us excited about every moment. We received a sneak peek super fast, and the final photos were delivered quickly, and they were absolutely stunning. We couldn't be happier with the results! High recommend Emily for capturing your special moments!"

"I wanted someone very personable, fun, and passionate. She met with me to talk about what I wanted, showed me her work, and just got to know me as a person."

From our first conversation to your final gallery, my goal is to make this feel easy and intentional. I help guide you through timelines, lighting considerations, and space for meaningful moments, while always preserving the integrity of your day. On your wedding day, I move with awareness. I anticipate emotion before it happens. I notice the subtle details, your mothers tear filled eyes or the way your partner exhales when they see you for the very first time. Your wedding photographs should feel like a memory, not a production.
